Philips Lumea IPL review - 8 weeks

2 months passed over the first use of Philips Lumea Precision IPL SC2006/11. I used it regularly on bi-weekly periods as recommended on the manual.

Philips claims 85% hair reduction in their advertisements. Actually I just wanted to prove or disprove their assertion during these 8 week period. I used Philips Lumea 4 sessions and really got nearly 80-90% hair reduction on my skin.

Hair re-growth rate has slowed down and new hairs are fairer than before which means softer and better looking skin.

How my skin looks after  8 weeks - Philips Lumea IPL 

When you zoom in your skin you may see hair roots but not at a disturbing level. Looks natural :)

I hope my hairs do not re-grow as it used to be, thats the only thing that I want for now. So far, I am really satisfied with the results and definitely recommend it.

If I watch any negative side effects, I share it with you.

Philips Lumea IPL review - 6 weeks

I continue to use Philips Lumea Precision IPL SC2006/11 regularly and I already completed my third session, 6 weeks past over the first use.

Since my hairs did not re-grow during this 6 weeks period, I did not shave my arm and directly use Philips Lumea IPL on my skin.

The level of smoothness is higher compared to 2nd session:) I still feel the hairs on my skin but less than before since most of the hairs fell off. My skin is softer but not feeling as soft as I did after Alexandrite laser session.

The results are beyond my expectations in such a short time period. My skin is looking better day by day :)

By the way, there is still no change on the white scars that I had after laser burn.

I wonder if 80% of hairs disappear by the end of week 8 as promised on the Philips Lumea ads.

Philips Lumea Precision IPL review - 4 weeks

I have completed 4 weeks with Philips Lumea IPL and I am satisfied with the results. So far so good.

By the end of the 4th week,  my skin is softer  and hair growth is fairer.

How my arm looks by the end of week 4 

When I touch my skin, I feel softer than before since most of the hairs fell off.

Hairs on my skin does not seen from 15-20 cm away. If you focus on the skin you can see the remaining hairs as seen on the photo.

First of all, I am satisfied with the results right after two sessions with Philips Lumea IPL on my arms. Hairs on my arms started to fall out and my skin got softer by the end of week 3.

I used Philips Lumea IPL on my arms again by the end of week 2 as recommended on the manual. I did not trim hairs because they did not grow that much to shave them again and directly used IPL on my arms.

The second usage of the Philips Lumea was easier and faster than the first one. I got used to apply it effectively and took me 10-15 minutes to treat my arms.

My Philips Lumea IPL Experience:

I have tried alexandrite laser before on my legs and got good results after 5 trials. 80% reduction on hairs on lower legs. Unfortunately it did not work for my upper legs and on arms. I have used conventional methods for my upper legs and arms like waxing etc. I was tired of making hair removal waxes on every 20 days and searched for permanent solutions for hairs on my arms and upper legs.

I heard about Philips Lumea IPL and searched for reviews. Although I found positive feedbacks from different websites and forums, I could not be 100% sure about it. I am not expecting 100% result from the IPL laser but at least expecting slower hair growth...

I tested Rowenta EP9870 Derma Perfect Precision and Philips Lumea IPL Precision SC2003/11 on my arm at their highest level of laser light intensity at MediaMarkt store. 

Rowenta was easier to use, and I felt less pain during usage at the highest level and got better results.

Although I liked Rowenta more, I decided to buy Philips Lumea IPL. Rowenta cannot be used on facial areas and has less light flashes (approximately. 70-100 thousands).
